In an unprecedented victory, Mrs. Lurleen Wallace, wife of Governor George Wallace, wins the Alabama Democratic Gubernatorial nomination by a landslide. She says if she's elected in November, she'll let her husband, Governor Wallace, run the State. while thousands of Negro voters cast ballots for the first time.
