"Operation Hawthorne", 40 miles north of Pleiku in Vietnam, rescues the men of an Army Special Forces camp, under heavy attack by the Vietcong. Meanwhile, at the White House, Lieutenant Charles Williams receives the Medal of Honor from President Johnson for heroism in a similar operation, defending a "Green Beret" camp.
