Three straight days of streets rioting in Hong Kong. Artificial flower workers sparked the riots almost 300 - youths are arrested. Police said that the rioting seem to be on any and all authority. Labor demands are being discussed. TLS/MSs - Hong Kong riot police -- wearing white helmets, khaki uniforms with short pants and armed with small shields, clubs and rifles-- alighting transport trucks on street, responding to call. Rear view TLS - Riot police running up flight of stairs outside bldg. LS - Large crowd gathered on four balconies of shifty-looking multi-storey factory building (could pass for an overcrowded tenement). MS - Police officer dragging young man through courtyard with one arm, eventually putting the slippery fellow in a headlock as he is dragged toward cam. MS - Three police officers leading young man through street; another officer sprint down street to catch up & when he does he kicks the suspect in the rear end. Rear view tracking shot - Riot squad patrolling street. Tracking MS - Riot cop walking with tear gas gun. MS - Burned-out wreckage of car on street. The riots apparently stemmed from a labor dispute between striking workers and management of an artificial flower company.
