NO AUDIO Five consecutive days of torrential rains and gale winds batter south-central California. Homes and roads are flooded. Bridges are washed out leaving residents marooned. It's the worst flooding in ten years in the area with a weather related death toll of 16. Torrential rains and gale force winds cause havoc for California utility companies and the men who are working out in the elements. Two men on a safety line cross a half tumbled bridge over turbulent rising waters. Panning shot of a flooded area. No sign of resident s just trees and a partially submerged water line marker. Aerial shots of the aftermath caused by the gale force winds and thunderstorms that pounded south-central California. Lots of damages to homes and roadways. An open lock on the river lets the overflow water rush out. A street is closed off as part of a bridge has been swept away in the storm. CU fragments of the bridge that has been broken up and destroyed. Panning shot of local homes and business that have been damaged and stranded as a result of the storm as rushing flood waters continue to flow.
