Nine Cardinals, nineteen Bishops, President Johnson, Vice-President Humphrey, hundreds of other dignitaries, both church and lay officials, and thousands of mourners of all faiths jam Saint Patrick's Cathedral for the funeral of Francis Cardinal Spellman. Following a Pontifical Mass, his body is interred in a crypt with his six predecessors, beneath the Cathedral's main alter.
