Simulation of events that took place in August 1964 when the U.S. Navy destroyer C. Turner Joy was allegedly attacked by North Vietnamese torpedo patrol boats off the North Vietnamese coast. Although shots were fired at another destroyer, the USS Maddox, it has never been proven conclusively that the Joy actually came under fire.
