On Preview Cassette 213168. Africa, plus a shot in NYC. Looks like possibly the home movies of some Seventh-Day Adventists. Aerial views from plane flying over mountainous terrain, airplane engine in frame. MS pedestrians passing Commodore Hotel & television store, presumably in New York City. The men all wear hats, business suits, ties - 1950s or early 1960s? In the corner of frame two men are talking and occasionally looking at camera. A group of African villagers in brightly colored clothing sit & stand outdoors. A Caucasian man wearing a tie and holding a Bible (thus, presumably a missionary) preaches to the crowd; a black man wearing a tie seems to be translating the sermon. Exteriors Advent Press building. (Aha! These must be Seventh-Day Adventists.) Misc. boats - a few large, many small - in water near shore. A bunch of canoes (they look hand-made) on the beach. POV from underside of airplane, landing gear in frame, as plane lifts off runway. Aerial shots of lush green forested area, with some populated areas here and there. Palm trees. African city, low buildings (houses) in foreground. "Commodore Hotel - newspaper" - original note in description field.
