The first commercial application of the hovercraft is soon to get underway in San Francisco. The radical craft is to operate across the Bay to Oakland, under government subsidy. Backers of the project are hopeful the low-flying hovercraft have a high-flying future. A good size crowd has gathered at the Bay to view the new Hydrofoil / Hovercraft.
