Bob Seagren pole vaults seventeen feet, two inches, setting a new world record. Kerry O'Brien of Australia sets a second meet record within 48 hours running in the fastest two-mile ever in Boston. World shot-put champion, Neal Steinhauer with his own special technique throws a shot-put setting a new record. Bob Seagren runs with his pole vault in spite of a pulled muscle. On his second attempt he sets a new world record 17ft 2in. The enthusiastic sports crowd makes a standing ovation.
