Half million people are walking to work or making use of hastily contrived car pools as streetcars, subways and busses lie idle in a wage dispute. New York City newspaper strike, now in its 6th week, seems to be headed for still further stalemates. The President's fact-finding board is trying to work out an agreement that might end the multimillion dollar longshoremen s strike. People walking along busy street, traffic.
